The annual Clarivate – Highly Cited Researchers ranking has, for the seventh consecutive year, recognised Professor Philippe Moreau, Director of SIRIC ILIAD, as a Highly Cited Researcher in 2022.

On Tuesday 15 November, the 2022 edition of the Highly Cited Researchers (HCRs) ranking was published, which distinguishes the most influential researchers in the world in 22 fields. It lists more than 130 French researchers among nearly 7,000 researchers worldwide.

Over the last decade, the published and widely cited articles appearing in the top 1% of the world’s most cited researchers are selected by disciplinary field. The researchers with the greatest number of articles among this 1% are retained in this list of Highly Cited Researchers.

Among the 69 countries evaluated worldwide, France is in the top 10, occupying 8th place, with 1.9% of HCRs:

Philippe Moreau: his researches rewarded once again

For the 2022 edition and for the seventh consecutive year, SIRIC ILIAD is proud to have Prof. Philippe Moreau, Director of SIRIC ILIAD, on the list for the “Clinical Medicine” discipline:

  • Philippe Moreau, university professor and hospital practitioner (CHU de Nantes, Nantes University), is a doctor in clinical haematology, specialising in the management of multiple myeloma.
  • He is also President of the IFM (Intergroupe Francophone du Myélome) and Vice-President of the IMS (International Myeloma Society).
  • He has an internationally recognised expertise, with nearly 600 publications, notably for his clinical research work which has contributed to the development of new treatments for patients with multiple myeloma.

Beyond the satisfaction of being represented in this ranking, this recognition shows the importance of the scientific and medical research carried out, but also the need to focus on these successes:
