SIRIC ILIAD is hiring a Communication and Scientific Mediation Intern!
The Integrated Cancer Research Site (SIRIC) ILIAD is a regional consortium based in Nantes-Angers dedicated to cancer research. It includes partners such as the Nantes University Hospital, the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest (ICO), and the Angers University Hospital. Its partners also include Inserm, the Arronax cyclotron, the École Centrale de Nantes, the universities of Nantes and Angers, the Loire Atlantique Vendée cancer registry, and Atlanpole, along with patient associations AF3M and Europa Donna.
SIRIC ILIAD is one of the eight French SIRICs and was re-accredited by the National Cancer Institute in January 2023.
The consortium brings together medical and scientific expertise in nuclear medicine, oncology, hematology, biology, human and social sciences, epidemiology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics across 30 teams and 9 institutions.
The teams focus primarily on two demonstrator tumors: multiple myeloma and breast cancer. SIRIC ILIAD’s research is centered on three integrated oncology research programs that address patient care and life pathways.
SIRIC ILIAD aims to adapt new treatments and improve patients’ life pathways by detecting early risk of resistance and relapse, deploying better-suited treatments, and ensuring sustainable employment post-cancer. Ultimately, the goals are to increase remission and cure rates and to raise awareness among companies about supporting employees affected by cancer.
The mission of SIRIC also includes disseminating research knowledge to the public, health professionals, and researchers through various communication actions (website, social media, videos, events, etc.), in collaboration with patient associations AF3M and Europa Donna. SIRIC ILIAD also aims to establish an employment retention network within the Pays de Loire region.
The intern will participate in defining and implementing various internal (medical-scientific community of SIRIC) and external (health professionals, researchers, patients, the general public, businesses, local authorities) communication actions.
They will assist SIRIC in promoting its activities within and outside of its partner organizations, manage certain projects, especially events, produce communication media (video capsules, brochures, films, etc.), promote the employment retention network in the Pays de Loire region, strengthen ties with partner associations, and enhance the visibility of SIRIC’s work via social media.
