Patient associations
AF3M (Association Française des Malades du Myélome Multiple)
The French Association of Multiple Myeloma Patients, created in 2007, now has over 2,700 members and 150 volunteers across the country. Recognized by an approval from the Ministry of Health, it plays a crucial role for patients and their caregivers by:
- Providing help and support to patients, representing them, improving their care and quality of life, and informing them, notably through a national information day organized simultaneously each year in 25 cities across mainland France;
- Promoting partnerships and acting as a liaison with health authorities;
- Supporting and encouraging research, particularly through a project aimed at promoting clinical trials and an annual call for research proposals.
