On Tuesday, November 15, 2023, the global ranking of the most influential researchers was published, and for the 8th consecutive year, Professor Philippe Moreau has been recognized in the “Clinical Medicine” category.
A university professor and hospital practitioner (CHU de Nantes, Nantes Université), Philippe Moreau is a hematologist specializing in the treatment of a rare bone marrow cancer, multiple myeloma. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he is highly involved in cooperative groups and serves as the president of the International Myeloma Society (IMS).
With nearly 600 publications, Professor Moreau is internationally renowned for his clinical research, which has contributed to the development of new treatments for multiple myeloma patients, particularly in transplant strategies and innovative immunotherapies that are transforming the prognosis of this disease.
This distinction also highlights the excellence of Nantes-based research conducted at SIRIC ILIAD on mature B-cell hematologic malignancies, by teams from the Hematology Department of CHU de Nantes and CRCI2NA.
