Congratulations to Shamimeh Ahrari and Dalal Chamseddine, for winning 1st prize in the “Best Survival Prediction Algorithm” (task 2) of the HECKTOR 2025 challenge!
This award was won as part of the 4th edition of the international Grand Challenge HECKTOR (HEad neCK TumOR Lesion Segmentation, Diagnosis and Prognosis), organized during the MICCAI Society 2025 conference in Daejeon, South Korea.
The HECKTOR challenge is a leading international scientific competition that annually brings together academic and industrial teams from around the world. Itsobjective: to develop and compare artificial intelligence algorithms capable of segmenting, diagnosing, and predicting the prognosis of head and neck cancers from multimodal medical images.
This prize highlights the excellence and innovation of the nuclear medicine team at CHU de Nantes and the SIMS team at Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N) in the field of AI applied to oncology, as part of PRECIZE program within SIRIC ILIAD.
