On 19 September 2025, SIRIC ILIAD organised its 7th Scientific Day, bringing together researchers, clinicians, partners and others to discuss advances in these areas of translational research: breast cancer and multiple myeloma.
This annual event is essential for SIRIC ILIAD, as it brings together collaborators from different organisations (ICO, CHU de Nantes, CHU d’Angers, etc.) to promote discussion and sharing within and between these three translational research programmes:
- PRECIZE: predicting and identifying patients at high risk of relapse in order to offer them the most appropriate treatment
- DECIPHER: studying the tumour microenvironment involved in resistance in order to develop targeted therapeutic strategies
- SICAJOB: understanding the impact of social and regional disparities on patient survival and career paths, and implementing measures to promote continued employment
Beyond the three research programmes of SIRIC ILIAD, this day also highlighted:
- Clinical challenges with the presentation of breast cancer and multiple myeloma cohorts.
- The emergence of young researchers with the presentation of the 2024 winning projects.
- The regional dynamism of oncology research with the Laboratories of Excellence NExT and Arronax.
A big thank you to all the speakers for the quality and richness of their presentations, which provided a better understanding of the issues surrounding the various themes addressed by SIRIC ILIAD, as well as to all the participants for their attendance and valuable contributions to the discussions.
See you next year for the 8th edition!
